Ballet School

The Ballet School of the theatre teaches about ninety children, from the age of ten to eighteen, in the studios behind the stage. Most of the company learned here.

Auditions

Every June, on the second Saturday, 10:00, at the stage door. Children of 9 and 10 years old. Bring soft shoes and a parent. The teachers look at the feet, the back and the ear for music; no one needs to have danced before.

What it costs

Nothing. Teaching is paid by the state; the Körköm Foundation pays for the shoes, the physiotherapist and four places a year at the summer school in Almaty.

School subjects

The pupils take ordinary school lessons in the mornings with teachers from School No. 31, and dance from 14:00 to 18:00.
