The house

The theatre opened in 1959 in its building on Theatre Square, in the Soviet centre of Talas, the first in the city with a fly tower. Its first prima ballerina, Aikan Borubai kyzy, danced here from 1959 to 1975; the rehearsal studio is named after her.
